Sometimes when you start Sejour Agency Office Automation software, you will receive a warning that your "Current database has not been backed up for at least 3 days" (like the one below):

You can ignore this message and carry on working normally, but Sejour™ strongly recommends you to make frequent backups of your MS SQL database data (with all your hotel reservations, contracts, suppliers and customer details etc.), ideally at the end of the working day.

This simple process which takes less than a minute is shown below.

Other Sejour users should avoid making changes or new reservations during this short time to make the database backup up to date. If they do make changes, it won't hurt the backup - but these new reservations will not be included in this backup.

You will have the choice between making a backup by "Append to Media" or "Overwrite to existing media" (see graphic below). Sejour™ recommends that you make regular "Append back Ups", and a full "Overwrite Back Up" once a month.

During the backup process Sejour program will be unresponsive. This is normal, and you should not try to restart the program until the backup is finished. After some time you will see the Info message below, and you can continue working normally.
